Update on the Star Trek Wedding

Remember the Star Trek wedding contest that I wrote about a while back? Apparently they weren't the only winners. Multiple couples were chosen to have Star Trek weddings in different towns (I'm assuming). Alissa Mellis and Justin Gruba won the Detroit wedding, and they're getting married today! Congratulations, you two!



Apparently they're getting some grief because their wedding isn't geeky enough. They're not dressing up like Star Trek characters, and the guests aren't dressing up either. They are having satellite-themed centerpieces and "spacey" invitations. I think it looks great. And good for them for not giving in to others.



I hope the final pictures come out soon - I seriously can't wait to see those centerpieces!
