Punishment for a terrible person/bride

Remember this beyotch? The one who faked cancer to get cool stuff for her wedding?

jessica-vega-mugshot
Jessica Vega – scammer, bad person

We can all bask in our schadenfreude because she has been sentenced to repay everything she scammed – all $13,000 of it, and she looks miserable in her mugshot.

To which I say:

Though, really, how is she ever going to pay that off? Those people will never get their money back.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are “talking marriage”

I try not to completely shit all over people’s dreams, but:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *gasp* HAHAHAhahahahahahaha…ha…oh.

hahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha *snort* ahahahahahaahahahahahaaaahahahahaa. ha. ha. hm. Ahem. Sorry**.

Just one month after going public with their romance, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are "very serious," a source tells the new Us Weekly -- as in, ready to pick out rings.

Although the reality star, 31, has yet to finalize her divorce from NBA star Kris Humphries, she and the rapper, 34, "are talking marriage," says the source. (Over the weekend, Kardashian jetted back from Washington, DC, where she was a guest at the White House Correspondents' Dinner Saturday, to be by West's side for a Sunday performance of Broadway's Wicked.)

**I am not sorry.

Woman fakes cancer to get lavish wedding

25-year-old Jessica Vega faked terminal leukemia so that she could have a luxurious wedding ceremony, reception, and Aruba honeymoon. She has just been indicted by a New York Grand Jury.

In 2010, Vega claimed that she was dying of cancer and that her dying wish was to marry the father of her child. The story caught on with her community, and there was an outpouring of donations to make this cancer-stricken woman’s dream come true.

jessica-vega

FOR FREE the couple received wedding rings, flowers, a $1,200 gown, and the aforementioned Aruba vacation.

The husband, Michael O’Connell, filed for divorce four months after the wedding, when he found out about the scam. He is now accepting her back because she’s the mother of his two children.

The maximum prison sentence is 4 years. Her husband says his ex-wife should have to repay donors and apologize, not face jail time. (Wonder where that money will come from? Maybe she’ll steal it from a children’s charity?)

This story makes my blood boil. Every smug look I see of this horrible woman makes me want to do terrible things to her

If you don’t believe me, just look at her:

“Promise you’ll help again I really do get cancer!”

Sucks for her because she’s ugly on the inside.

Seattle woman marries a building

I totally love out-there hippies, so I find this story really interesting.

building-wedding-01
My main objection is the singing of Jack Johnson during the ceremony

Babylonia Aivaz (awesome name, yes?) married a warehouse in Seattle at 10th Avenue and Union Street on Sunday, January 29, 2012.

She claims to be part of the Occupy Seattle protest, and she wants the building to be reclaimed as community space. Roughly 30 people attended the event, which was (my assumption:) organized to stop the demolition of the 107-year-old building. The building will be demolished to make way for new apartments.

building-wedding-02
The building is forced to say “I Do”

Aivaz claims the wedding is a gay union, because the building is a woman. Protesters were present because they are upset that she’s hurting the same-sex wedding cause…because buildings aren’t people, and this sounds like fodder for one of those  “What if people tried to marry snakes!!?” arguments.

building-wedding-03
Protesters, doin’ what they do.

So, what’s the point to all of this? I don’t know, Man. Seattle’s a funny place. Maybe it makes sense there.

building-wedding-04

I 100% support the right to protest things that seem unfair, but marrying a building is pointless, and protecting this grubby building from a timely demise is weird. It’s too bad they didn’t spend the same effort into figuring out actual plans for a community-positive function for the building. Maybe they could have gotten the neighborhood to rally behind them. It smells like fame-whoring to me.

Groom sues photographer for the cost of his wedding

Todd J. Remis is so disgruntled over the loss of a few key wedding photographs, that he's suing the photographer for the cost of his services, and the cost of the entire wedding. Need more proof that this guy's an asshole? The marriage ended in divorce, and the bride returned to her native Latvia. If you needed another reason to feel protective of the photography studio: one of the photography studio's founders is an immigrant Army veteran, and the studio has been in business for nearly 65 years.

From the article:
But what is striking, said the studio that took the pictures, is that Mr. Remis’s wedding took place in 2003 and he waited six years to sue. And not only has Mr. Remis demanded to be repaid the $4,100 cost of the photography, he also wants $48,000 to recreate the entire wedding and fly the principals to New York so the celebration can be re-shot by another photographer.

The happy, totally-legit couple.

Re-enacting the wedding may pose a particular challenge, the studio pointed out, because the couple divorced and the bride is believed to have moved back to her native Latvia.

Although Justice Doris Ling-Cohan of State Supreme Court in Manhattan dismissed most of the grounds for the lawsuit, like the “infliction of emotional distress,” she has allowed the case to proceed to determine whether there was indeed a breach of contract. But she displayed a good deal of amusement about the lawsuit’s purpose in an opinion in January that quoted lyrics from the Barbra Streisand classic “The Way We Were.”

This is a case in which it appears that the ‘misty watercolor memories’ and the ‘scattered pictures of the smiles ... left behind’ at the wedding were more important than the real thing,” the judge wrote. “Although the marriage did not last, plaintiff’s fury over the quality of the photographs and video continued on.”

I hope that this bullshit lawsuit peters out, and that the photography studio counter-sues for legal costs. It's a shame that they even have to humor this guy.

Thank you, but no.

This is just an excuse to talk about Morrissey...

WHEN it comes to booking a wedding singer MORRISSEY is not the most chipper choice to put a smile on the face of the congregation. But RUSSELL BRAND and KATY PERRY have asked the miserable Manc to do the honours - even though he's told them not to tie the knot.

We're not tourists, we're just enlightened.

Katy said: "I met Morrissey for the first time the other day and we had tea together. He's Russell's mate [Katy Perry said "mate". I doubt it, The Sun] and he is fascinating but he was giving us a hard time about getting married. He swooned and sighed, 'Oh, left hand third finger, don't do it.' It was just so eloquent and poetic and like one of his songs."

I suppose that classic lyric-writing comes in handy when you need to say something out of order. But Mozza - who Russ named his beloved cat after - has still been invited to this autumn's nuptials in India.

Katy added: "It would be great to have him at the wedding but I told him, 'We can't have a Mr Misery like you messing things up.' It's going to be a small ceremony, so I don't think we'll have a proper band. I'd love to have Morrissey."

Hahaha, I love that he was so typically dramatic about getting married. Given all the bitchy stories I've read about Morrissey, I'm surprised he didn't send an assistant to have tea with Katy Perry so that he wouldn't have to.

Have a dreary and romantically soul-crushing weekend.

Here's the Situation - I'm getting some wedding-night Snooki

I don't fully understand this "Jersey Shore" that the kids talk about. Thanks to The Soup, I am aware that it is a reality show on Mtv about a group of intellectually deficient, yet highly entertaining twenty-somethings and they all live in New Jersey. And I watched that poor girl get punched in the face - upsetting!

If you like Jersey Shore (and I know some of you d0), this is for you:

"Jersey Shore" star Paul (Pauly D) Delvecchio has gone from walking along the Seaside Heights boardwalk to – walking down the aisle?!

Since starring in the popular MTV reality show, Pauly D and his castmates have received up to 200 to 300 offers a day to make personal appearances, Michael Schweiger of CEG Talent told RadarOnline.com.

This is a Pauly D (I think)

Schweiger, who represents all the cast members except Nicole (Snooki) Polizzi, said the craziest request thus far has been for Pauly D to escort a bride down the aisle on her wedding day.

"Someone in California offered us $50,000 to have Pauly D walk them down the aisle at their wedding, to give them away," he said. "We rejected the offer, because Pauly is a serious DJ and all the other cast members are doing lots of personal appearances but Pauly D is not necessarily doing the personal appearances because he feels he has a lot to learn as a DJ. He does not want to be doing stuff that is unrelated to DJ-ing."

This is hilarious - I am always amused by the things that rich people want. If I had unlimited money, I would still have wanted my own dad to walk me down the aisle ('cause I luffs my dad), but maybe when I get re-married to a richer man (or renew my vows to my current husband), I'll hire Puck from the San Francisco Real World...or hire Andre and his band from the OG cast! Does that show my age?

Someone's gettin' opposite married, y'all!

Carrie Prejean the super moral, boobie-flashing, pillar of society is engaged. JSYK.

Hi, I am a smart and worthwhile human being because I am straight, religious, and better than you.

I am so embarrassed that she's from my state. She's on my love-to-hate list with the useless couple known as Speidi, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and basically every other fame whore who thinks that anyone gives a rip about their opinions.

Mostly, I am posting this so that I can gleefully write about her again when she gets disengaged. Because, COME ON this is not going to happen. At best, it will end in divorce, because apparently she's been dating this guy since last summer. WHAT COULD POSSIBLEY GO WRONG. I mean possibly. ...That shouldn't have happened.

YEAH, CAPS. THIS BISH MAKES ME PISSY OKAY?
