Beheadded bride
If you are planning a Victorian-themed horror wedding, I found the perfect cake toppers for you.
I'm not sure that they're actually cake toppers, and there's no groom, but I think they're hilariously awesome.
The artist has a few more macabre/Victorian things on her site. They're perfect if you belong to the same secret club as these ladies...ma'am.

Hello Kitty wedding rings
Do you want to emasculate your husband? Then get a matching set of Hello Kitty wedding rings!
I guess they're not overly Hello Kitty like this:
But if I met you and your husband for dinner and he was wearing this:
I would pretty much never stop asking him where he left his testicles (*cough* your purse *cough*). At least the face is on the inside of the ring. It would be his shameful secret. Unless he's really into Hello Kitty. I guess it could happen...?

I don't know who made these, but they were found via Wedinator. I only hope that the robots won't become sentient and ruin the cake. Everyone knows that robots hate cake. It's how you know they truly have no souls.

Alternative (and geeky!) ideas for wedding rings
Not into the look of a big showy diamond atop a showy display of little diamonds? Me neither. Check out these alternative ideas for wedding rings from Wedinator.
These are thick bands topped with male and female CAT5 connectors. I'm not sure anyone could actually wear these, but they are different. And they loose the ring adornments, they can just replace them at the local electronics store - cheap!
These are rings molded from plastic zip ties. I love them! The way these ones are shaped is a little strange, but I love the concept and the texture of the plastic in metal.
It's been a long first week of the year - hooray for Friday! Have a great weekend. Be sure to drop me a line if YOU have an alternative wedding ring.

A source close to the [Jessica Simpson] told Tarts that Simpson has been in talks to team up with celebrity jeweler Pascal Mouawad on her own jewelry line, which she wants to include wedding rings. “Jess and her mom are really pushing the wedding rings. Jess wants her own line but Pascal isn’t so keen on that,” dished our insider. “He wants to work with her, but definitely doesn’t think wedding rings would be appropriate for Jessica.”
A few months ago, Simpson hit up a listening party at Mouawad’s home in Hollywood for An-Ya, a Russian pop singer signed to Joe Simpson's music label. But the starlet got a taste for dazzling diamonds by picking up a $10,000 5-carat ring from the party host’s Black and White Diamond Collection, which is said to have sparked her interest.

Most recently, Mouawad worked with Nicole Richie on her House of Harlow line and Jermaine Dupri on the watch line NuPop. Even Lindsay Lohan has been dropping hints that she’s doing a line with him too. A rep for the jeweler told Tarts that the two had mulled over possibly working together, but as yet nothing had been officially worked out.
But perhaps the desire to design the rings indicates Jess is ready to move on with her love life. Word on the street is that Simpson is certainly getting over her ruptured romance with Tony Romo and has fallen head-over-heels for 42-year-old “Smashing Pumpkins” musician Billy Corgan.
First, OH BILLY. I loved you in middle school, man, but you've changed. And not for the better. Second, while I love Jessica Simpson's shoes (they're usually pretty comfy - seriously!) I don't think people want to wear a wedding ring designed by a celebrity. Rings are supposed to be a symbol of love, not a symbol of how much you like terrible pop music. When Jessica Simpson designs push-up bras, I might try one on. For now, I'll stick to her affordable and comfortable shoes.

Robot bride
I've discussed my love for Halloween and geeks, but I haven't yet mentioned my love for robots! I love robots! This is probably why I love Japan so much - they love robots too. The latest robot is named HRP-4C, and she recently had a very special day:
Not too many brides walk down the aisle alone and to Billy Jean, but that HRP-4C, she's an original.
The HRP-4C robot, created by Kazuhito Yokoi of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, modeled wedding gowns created by fashion designer Yumi Katsura at a hotel Wednesday in Osaka, Kyodo News reported Thursday.
"I wanted to use it for fashion and entertainment," Yokoi said of his 5-foot-2 creation. The researcher stood by in a tuxedo as the 95-pound robot took small steps down the catwalk.
"I feel happy, and at the same time lonely, just like a bride's father," Yokoi said.
That statement makes me SO SAD. Don't worry Yokoi, your robot daughter will visit you on robot father's day and every other robot New Year. That is, if her robot mother-in-law doesn't mind.
Oh, robots. They make my heart happy.
