Punishment for a terrible person/bride

Remember this beyotch? The one who faked cancer to get cool stuff for her wedding?

Jessica Vega – scammer, bad person

We can all bask in our schadenfreude because she has been sentenced to repay everything she scammed – all $13,000 of it, and she looks miserable in her mugshot.

To which I say:

Though, really, how is she ever going to pay that off? Those people will never get their money back.

Woman fakes cancer to get lavish wedding

25-year-old Jessica Vega faked terminal leukemia so that she could have a luxurious wedding ceremony, reception, and Aruba honeymoon. She has just been indicted by a New York Grand Jury.

In 2010, Vega claimed that she was dying of cancer and that her dying wish was to marry the father of her child. The story caught on with her community, and there was an outpouring of donations to make this cancer-stricken woman’s dream come true.

FOR FREE the couple received wedding rings, flowers, a $1,200 gown, and the aforementioned Aruba vacation.

The husband, Michael O’Connell, filed for divorce four months after the wedding, when he found out about the scam. He is now accepting her back because she’s the mother of his two children.

The maximum prison sentence is 4 years. Her husband says his ex-wife should have to repay donors and apologize, not face jail time. (Wonder where that money will come from? Maybe she’ll steal it from a children’s charity?)

This story makes my blood boil. Every smug look I see of this horrible woman makes me want to do terrible things to her

If you don’t believe me, just look at her:

“Promise you’ll help again I really do get cancer!”

Sucks for her because she’s ugly on the inside.

Bridesmaid's dress stolen hours before the wedding

Not that I don't believe this bridesmaid, but...she is probably full of crap.

Delaware state police say someone broke into a car and stole a bridesmaid's dress just hours before a wedding.

Who me?

It happened Friday morning at a shopping center in Pike Creek. Police say the bride and one of her bridesmaids were in a salon getting ready for the wedding. When they got back to their car, they found that someone had stolen the pink dress [And it's a great color! You'll be able to wear the dress again after my wedding!] the bridesmaid had planned to wear at the ceremony. A bag of accessories was also stolen. [I'm sure the bridesmaid REALLY MISSES her pink gemstone earrings, and pink feathered hair accessory]

The vehicle was not damaged. Police believe the thieves overrode the car's self-locking mechanism.

Yeah, okay bridesmaid. Somehow, someone just broke into your car, ignored the quarters in the ashtray, did NO damage to the car, and this all happened just hours before the wedding. I don't think there's any question about what really happened.

Lock your cars, friends!

Scammer bride faces jail time

From CBS News: Everyone knows the price of weddings has gone through the roof, but one California bride, who needed $35,000 to cover the costs, hit on a novel idea … steal the money.

And that’s how the ultimate bridezilla wound up spending her wedding night in jail, according to the San Mateo County Times. She was arrested two nights before her nuptials, according to the paper.

A judge told Briana Nicole Balancier, 26, of San Mateo, Calif., she faces up to nine months in the county jail, but said the blushing bride-to-be could get out sooner if she returned the cash, the paper reported.

Perhaps Balancier can pay them back with a giant party, since according to the paper, the money was used to pay for the caterer, reception hall, DJ and photographer, and we know they rarely give refunds.

How did the scam work? The San Mateo Times reported that Balancier wrote a bum check from her day care business, Little Hearts, to herself. When the bank told her she had to wait for the check to clear, she wrote a phony fax saying the money was there. That gave her a few days breathing room to take roughly $20,000 from the bank. But when the check finally bounced, so did Balancier’s special night.

Balancier pleaded no contest to charges of forgery, grand theft and commercial burglary on Tuesday as part of a deal that would allow her to avoid a state prison sentence, Deputy District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe told reporters.

$35k in theft and fraud, all for a wedding? Clearly this bride has lost sight of the actual purpose of a wedding.
