The Wedding Singer Musical

I love the movie the Wedding Singer. It has Drew Barrymore, lots of silly stuff from the '80s, a great soundtrack, and Billy Idol. When that movie came out, the soundtrack was in my trunk-mounted CD changer (remember those?) for forever.

So, would you see the musical theater version of the Wedding Singer? I'm a sucker for local theater. I will (and have) sat patiently through the most torturous of plays. The Wedding Singer musical is a tour, and you can visit this website to find out more about the dates and locations. The reviews are mostly good with a few people who really hated it.

It won't let me embed, but you can see a little clip here: The Wedding Singer musical

And here's one of the songs

Eh... It seems really corny. I do love musicals, but not the ones where they sing conversations. The rhyming is pretty bad as they desperately attempt to sing every discussion and plot point.

Personally, I'll stick to the movie, but if you really love musicals, you should check it out!

What do you think? I don't care, because I have the microphone so you WILL LISTEN TO MEEEEEEE!

Just kidding!

Kay

P.S. In case you're wondering my favorite musical is still Hedwig and the Angry Inch. I have the DVD and the soundtrack, but I couldn't make it to New York to see it so I purchased a bootleg recording on the internet. Don't tell JCM!
