Monday morning snark

I hope your Halloween weekend was as fantastic as mine was, but I hope you don't have as big a headache as I do. Maybe I had a little too much fun. I feel awful and I'm really grumpy. Let's do this thing.

Look at this bizarre picture from Awkward Family Photos; it's titled One Wedding And A Funeral. I don't know if this is actually a wedding or some kind of terrible Halloween party, but the girl is wearing white and carrying a bouquet, so I'm going with it. Why would anyone pose in front of an empty coffin for a portrait? If this is supposed to be scary, they failed, because empty coffins aren't scary. The lazily draped twinkle lights in the background and bats sprinkled around the coffin look out of place and silly.



The goofy look on the groom's face spoils any thread of spooky or Victorian theme. That Junior High Dance pose is one of my pet peeves as well. It's unflattering for the woman, and it completely blocks the guy.
